Privacy Notice

This notice explains how RankPilot at rankpilot.atharvaai.com handles information when you use its JEE study-planning service. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to contact@atharvaai.com.

Information we collect

  • Diagnostic profile: name, current class, target exam, Main percentile target or Advanced strategy focus, syllabus estimate, available study hours, recent practice-paper type, score and maximum marks, revision habits and self-rated subject confidence.
  • Study activity: chapter status, daily task completion, generated plans and roadmaps, and messages sent to RankPilot Mentor.
  • Contact and consent: email address, whether you opted into optional product or planning emails, the versions of this notice and the Terms you accepted, and when consent was recorded. A phone number is not required in the current public flow.
  • Private Community waitlist: your age band, Community consent record and waitlist status. Joining the waitlist does not itself create a profile or publish anything.
  • Study Circle participation: an age-assurance result and reference, your private circle alias and membership, structured posts and replies, supportive reactions, notification choices, reports, mutes, moderation status and appeals. RankPilot does not need to retain an identity-document image to record an adult-verification result.
  • Basic activity and referral information: a random account reference, timestamps, limited campaign tags, the referring page without its query string, the page where a visit began, security records, and privacy-conscious product activity such as completing a diagnostic step or a task.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • create and update your daily plan, roadmap, syllabus tracker and progress view;
  • respond to study-planning questions you submit;
  • send the roadmap and passwordless sign-in links you request;
  • record a private Community early-access request, verify eligibility and send essential waitlist or access-status messages;
  • operate private Study Circles, show contributions to the members of the same circle, deliver the notifications you choose and connect a contribution to your plan only when you deliberately select that action;
  • screen Community contributions for contact details, abuse, unsafe content and rule violations, support human moderation, investigate reports and provide an appeal route;
  • keep the service secure, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and measure whether the product is useful; and
  • send optional planning tips or product updates only when you select the optional consent box.

Community early-access consent is separate from optional planning tips and product-update consent. Participation also requires separate acceptance of the current Community Participation Rules. RankPilot does not sell your personal information. We do not use your diagnostic answers to promise or guarantee an exam result.

Community privacy boundaries

Community members see a circle alias and the contributions you choose to publish, not your RankPilot name, email address, private diagnostic, full plan, Mentor conversation or private error notes. RankPilot does not automatically publish study activity. Automated checks may help detect unsafe content, but serious moderation decisions are reviewed by a person. Private Community content is not used for model training by default and is not made available for search-engine indexing.

Companies that help us run RankPilot

RankPilot uses carefully selected services to keep the product available, store your saved work, deliver the emails you request, and help phrase personalized guidance. We share only the information needed for that specific job. A standard strategy remains available when enhanced personalization is temporarily unavailable. These companies handle information under their own security and contractual safeguards.

Keeping you signed in

RankPilot uses a secure sign-in cookie so it can recognise your account. Your device remembers only a few display preferences, such as the current screen, active section and selected syllabus subject. It does not keep your email, name, diagnostic answers, sign-in details or Mentor conversation in browser storage. The app includes a “Clear this device” control for these preferences.

Retention

  • Anonymous accounts that are not claimed or used are eligible for automatic deletion after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Lead and consent records are eligible for deletion after 365 days of inactivity unless they are needed for an active account, a legal obligation or a request you made.
  • Community waitlist and membership records are kept while needed to manage access and participation.
  • Visible Community contributions are removed or anonymised when required by an account-deletion request. Restricted moderation evidence, removed-content records and registration records may be retained for a limited period when needed for safety, dispute handling or a legal obligation; they are not returned to the circle.
  • Delivered Community notifications and completed background-work records are deleted on shorter operational schedules.
  • PII-free analytics events are automatically eligible for deletion after 180 days.
  • Operational backups may remain for a limited backup cycle before they are overwritten.

These periods may be shortened when the information is no longer needed.

Your choices and rights

You can decline optional planning emails and still receive the Strategy Blueprint you request. Every optional message provides an unsubscribe route. You can update profile and syllabus information, leave a Study Circle, delete your contributions and change Community notification choices in the app. “Delete account and data” permanently requests deletion of the active account's profile, activity, personalised content and Community-owned data. Limited evidence may be restricted rather than immediately erased where retention is legally required. You can also contact contact@atharvaai.com to request access, correction or deletion, subject to identity verification and applicable law.

Children and students under 18

RankPilot is designed for exam preparation and may be used by students under 18. If you are under 18, use RankPilot only with permission and awareness of a parent or legal guardian. The first Community discussion pilot requires a separate adult age-assurance result; a self-selected age band and confirmed email do not establish adult eligibility. An under-18 account may request a launch notification, but cannot enter discussion spaces until verifiable guardian consent and the required safety programme are available. Do not submit an email address if you do not have permission.

Security and limitations

We use access controls, hashed session tokens, validation and transport security intended to protect the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your data or account has been exposed, contact contact@atharvaai.com.

Changes to this notice

Material changes will be published here with a new version date. When required, RankPilot will ask you to acknowledge the updated notice before collecting new contact consent.
